    Revision of scalar and vector, Vector addition and subtractions, Magnitude of a vector, Projection of a vector, Vector product (dot and cross) and their physical significance. Scalar triple Product, Vector triple Product, Physical examples and Problems.
    Unit-2: Differentiation of Vector and scalar field

    Scalar and vector field, Divergence, curl and gradient, Laplacian operator.
    Unit-3: Vector Integration
    05 Lectures
    Line integration, Surface integration, Volume integration. Gauss's theorem of divergence, Stokes's theorem.
    Unit-4: Dirac delta function

    Properties of dirac delta function, Expression in term of Gaussian and rectangular function, dirac delta function in 3D.

    Voltmeter, Ammeter, Multi-meter. Galvanometer, conversion of galvanometer to voltmeter and ammeter. Resistance and capacitance, Resistance measurement using multi-meter and Color code.
    Topic: Semiconductor devices
    10 Lectures
    Semiconductor, doping, Fermi level, energy gap, Diode, Zener diode, Solar cell, Transistor, Electrical Measurement.
    Topic: Cathode Ray oscilloscope
    07 Lectures
    Cathode ray, Working principle of CRO and signal analysis.
    Practical Min. 5 Experiments
    • To measure the diameter of wire using screw gauge.
    • To measure the volume of a cube using vernier calliper.
    • To determine the distance between two points using travelling microscope.
    • Test equipment and electrical parameters using multi-meter.
    • Using CRO, measure frequency and amplitude of electrical signals (Voltage).
    • Measure the height of a building using sextant meter.
    • Solder two wires or component.
    • Identify PNP and NPN transistor using multi-meter.
